Start: Doussard, Haute Savoie, France

Although the title sounds a little daunting, you should not be put off! Although there are 3 cols to climb, they are not particularly high, nor do they have any nasty steep sections. The start and finish point for this loop is Doussard at the southern end of Lake Annecy. Doussard is easily accessible anywhere from around Lake Annecy by utilising the bike path which circumnavigates the lake. The ride starts by heading towards the pretty village of Faverges. From here the road climbs up to Col de Tamie (907m), then descends down to Frontenex, with views over the valley and the opposing mountains. The ride then continues west around a great massif to the north through farming fields and villages. The ride climbs up past the Chateau de Miolans and then on to the 2nd col, Col du Frene (950m). The descent from the Col du Frene is seemingly never ending as it passes through a beautiful green valley. The final col is Col de Leschaux at 900m offering views over Lake Annecy. The descent was non-technical with wide sweeping bends. A fantastic ride covering 96km and +1850m of ascent.
